EK BAAR PHIR,THE BIRTHDAY BELLS ARE RINGING!

IT'S TIME TO ENJOY AND BE GRATEFUL!

31st,March,2010
Wednesday,
6p.m

Dear Friends,

Good Evening!

Every Day is a new beginning;but tomorrow is special for me and for those who love me.:)My star is 'chothi' and right from childhood my birthday was celebrated on this star of Meenam month of Malayalam. So,my birthday always consisted of taking an early bath, lighting the lamp and chanting prayers. After having breakfast, I used to go to temple [in Kerala, to Guruvayoor Temple] and seek the blessings of God Almighty.A traditional feast will be preapared and we have a sadya on banana leaf.I pray wholeheartedly to Lord Krishna to forgive me for my mistakes,to lessen my sorrows,to make me free from my worries and let the days be filled with His Choicest Blessings!

As tomorrow, I am working and I have to leave home early,I thought of writing this post now.The midnight calls, the morning mails and the greetings will make my day very special and cheerful.:)Away from home, busy with the workload, there is no celebration.Generally I don't like to celebrate my birthday.I could always keep it in my heart and never expose that important day of my life!

A birthday happens once a year,

A time of get together, with near and dear ones.

The phone will ring many times from midnight,

With my people and friends wishing me,
A Very Happy Birthday!

And Many Many Happy Returns Of The Day!

I am so thankful to all of you,

And know that i'm incredibly blessed

To have them all in my life!

Growing one year older,

Growing one year younger,

I am traveling through the woods,

Enjoying the beautiful nature,

The streams, the sparrows and the butterflies!

I can feel the fresh and refreshing breeze,

As and when I walk along!

I can feel your love,my dearies,

Your words of care and cheer

Echo in my ears as I move forward!

I know this is the right time of the year,

For introspection and changes!

What have I done so far,

What should I do within the remaining time!

How to accept what is disagreeable.

To enjoy greater freedom of thought and expression!

Love and patience work wonders.

Birthdays are never complete,

Without wishes from dear and near ones!

A birthday is so special,

That unfolds many joys and happy moments,

For us to cherish forever!

Seeking your prayers and goodwill,

Let the day be simple but bright!

With your love and smiles!

I want to close my eyes now,

And to feel the images flash across my eyes!

''There are many things in life that will catch your eyes,

But only a few will catch your heart.............pursue those''.

Friends,

I am so happy that you are my true friends and you encourage me a lot by your inspiring words.Life calls us to new adventures, new challenges and new paths to tread up on.As childish as it may sound, but the birthday presents I would like to have are,

A bright and glowing smile from the depth of your heart,

A sincere and honest prayer,

A bunch of fresh and fragrant enchanting jasmine flowers,

Roses of various sizes and colours,

A loving mail of words of cheer,

A phone call that is from your heart!

Hey,now the choice is yours!:)

''I love thee,I love but thee

With a love that shall not die,

Till the Sun grows cold,

And the stars grow old''.

''To the world you may be one person,

But to me you may be the world!''

I believe,''what is uttered from the heart alone,

Will win the hearts of others to your own''.

It's Anu signing off...........

I trust you,in your friendship and love.

You are the reason for my smiles!

Trusting in the happenings of life,

Without questioning The Super Power,
Anu reminds you, she loves you more and more,

Without you there is no meaning to her life!

Wishing you a beautiful and lovely night,

And dreaming for a happy and prosperous future,

Sasneham,

Anu

PAINKUNI UTHRAM AND HANUMAN JAYANTHI!

CELEBRATING THE BIRTHDAY OF LORD AYYAPPA AND HANUMAN
28th,Sunday,2010

7p.m

Dear Friends,

Good Evening!

Today was a real holiday.I could realx and enjoy lazing round and reading a lot.Tomorrow is Painkuni Uthram or Panguni Uthiram which falls on Pournami day of Meena Masam of Malayali Calendar.Lord Ayyappa is born to the union of Mohini-the avatar of Lord Vishnu -and Lord Shiva.Hence he is called as Hariharasuthan or Harihariputhran.Ayyappan is also called as Manikandan or Manikanta.

Bhoothanatha sadananda,
Sarvabhoota dayapara,

Raksha raksha mahabaho,

Shastrethubhyam namo namaha!

Devotees believe that Ayyappan is born to demolish the demoness Mahishi. After destroying her,Lord has given her a boon that she will be worshipped as Malikappurathamma.

In Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Temple,Ayyappa Jayanthi is celebrated with utmost fervour and attracts ten thousands of devotees to Sabarimala.

Sabarimala is situated in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. Many holy shrines of Hindus are lcated close to nature on mountain tops, river banks or sea shores where teh enviornment is conducive for reflection and meditation.Of these holy destinations, hilltop shrines have been difficult to access as often the climb is long and arduous.Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Temple is situated on such ahilltop. It is widely believed that the difficulties encountered on a journey increase the benefits one would derive from the pigrimage and in turn enhance the sanctity of the pilgrim centre.Such pilgrimages present a challenge to pilgrims not only because of the terrain they have to negotiate but also on account of the presence of wild animals on the way, which adds an element of risk and uncertainty to the journey.

Tomorrow is the last day of the annual festival of Sree Sabarimala Temple-Aarattu,the tenth day of the annual festival.Swami Ayyappan's star is Uthram in Meena Masam.[My Amma's star is also Uthram].

Panguni Uthiram is a big festival in Tamil Nadu.Several temple festivals like divine marriages, brahmotsavams, aradhanotsavams and other festivites are celebrated on Painguni Uthiram.Madurai Meenakshi Sundrareshwar temple,Sreerangam Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple,Palani Murugan Temple and some other temples dedicate dto Lord Shiva attract thousands of devotees on this special day of Painguni Uthiram.
Yatra yatra raghunatha keertanam

Tatra Tatra kritha mastakanjalim

Bhaaspavaari paripurna lochanam

Maarutim namata raakshsanthakam.

Means,we bow to Maruti,Sri Hanuman, who stands with his palm folded above his forehead with a torrent of tears flowing down his eyes wherever the names of Lord Rama are sung.

Shri Hanuman is worshipped all over India either alone or together with Sree Rama.Every temple of Sree Rama has the murti or idol of Sree Hanuman. He was born to Wind God and Anjani Devi. His other names are Pavanasuta,Marutsuta,PavanKumar,Bhajrangabali and Mahavira.Hanuman's birthday falls on Chaitra Shukla Purnima[the March-April full moon day]. Devotees fast on this day and read Hanuman Chalisa. They spend the whole day in the name of Rama -Nam.

Hanuman Jayanthi is celebrated to commorate the birth anniversary of Sree Hanuman, the strong devotee of Sri Rama. From early mornings devotees visit Hanuman Temples and seek blessings.Hanuman is the symbol of strength and energy.Hanuman is said to be able to assume any form at will, wield rocks, move mountains, dart through the air, seize the clouds and rival Garuda in swiftness of flight.Hanuman is worshipped in folk tradition as a deity with magical powers and the ability to conquer the evil spirits.Hanuman or Anjaneya is the strong devotee of Lord Rama and he is a brahmachari and humility is his hallmark.

He is the loving embodiment of Rama-Nama.He was an ideal selfless worker a true Karma Yogi who worked desirelessly and dynamically. He served Sri Rama with pure love and devotion without expecting any fruit in return. He lived to serve Sree Rama.He was humble, brave and wise.He possessed all kinds of virtues. He did what others could not do-crossing the ocean by just chanting Sree Rama Nam,burning the city of Lanka and bringing the sanjeevani herb and restoring Lakshmana to life again.

The devotees will visit temples and apply kumkum[sindoor] n their foreheads as thilakam as this is considered to bring good luck.According to the legend,Sita was applying kumkum on her forehead,Hanumanji wanted to know the reason for which Sita Devi replied that this would ensure a long life for her husband,Sree Rama.Hanuman then smeared his entire body with Sindoor,in an effort to ensure Sree Rama's immortality.

May Lord Ayyappa and Sree Anjaneya shower their choicest blessings on one and all.

It's Anu signing off..............

We are always taught to chant the mantra for Lord Hanuman to prevent us from seeing the nightmares[the terrific dreams!]

Together, let us seek the holy blessings,

Anu loves you dil se,

Wishing you a bright and beautiful week ahead,

Sasneham,

Anu

THE SILENT TEARS

26th,March,2010

6p.m

Good Evening!

The day was a cool day, being most of the work is done.Today morning,my friend showed me a peacock walking holding its head high in the ground. She was excited and waseager to show me before it disappeared. We were surprised as so far we have never noticed this beautiful bird before in the office premises. There are bushes and shrubs all over and no humanbeing was in sight to disturb her.My day was made even though the feathers were not spread for me!:(

This post was due since one week. This is for my friend,Sonali who comes to spend her weekends with me once a month. We met in a social party held for some noble cause and then onwards we are good friends.Sona is so smart, tall ,elegant and well dressed. She has always a bright smile that never fades. But right now she is totally stressed and is under pressure.

From the long conversations, chats and phone calls I know what she goes through.

''A woman's head is always influenced by her heart, but man's heart is always influenced by his head''.Lady Blessington

This is what happens if you are in a relationship.:)

With joyful memories and bonds of sorrow,

Sonali comes and spends the time with me.

She is not the same old cheerful friend,

And I can feel the pain pierces the heart.

Life will not always reward,

Many of our expectations as we would like.

Life is never a smooth and comfortable journey

As it takes us through the valleys and peaks.

Sunlight and twilight used to be our favourite passtime,

When the sky turns reddish,

We enjoy the amazing wonderful sight.

Sonali meets a lot of people as the part of her job.

It was six months before this handsome guy,

Ritesh has won her heart.

Both of them supported each other,

For their professional growth.

They have real sense of humor,

Which is essential for a healthy relationship.

The friendship was slowly turning,

Into a strong and steady relationship.

Besides her,he was always there,

To make her evenings glittering!

But it was long ago,

Or at least she feels it so.

A project work assigned to him,

Made him go across the seas,

The separation was too much for her.

She did always wanted to be with him,

By the end of the day!

She knows it very well,

Each season brings its own unique blessings.

Still she is frustrated.

Lying in the darkness, sharing the sweet moments with me,

She waits eagerly for a call that hardly comes!

May be the timings are different,

Or he needs time to settle down.

When the sun sets in the sky,

When the cool breeze kisses her cheeks,

When the long paths lined by the tall trees,

Are deserted and so inviting for a stroll,

She remembers him a lot!

And longs for his presence!

When the sun shines early in the morning,

When my heart fills with cheer,

I take her to my balcony.

To enjoy the quiet vast sea,

The new blooms in the garden down,

And try my level best to cheer her up!

But she feels insecure and unsafe,

About his love and trust for her.

The distance creates problems.

Weeping silently,she awaits,

For his phone calls,

To feel the depth of huis voice,

And I must tell you guys,

Voice has that magical touch,

To be so inspiring,to bring back the glow,

The assurance,the togetherness!

Which have become very rare.

He may be too busy with new people and work.

Ritesh,remember,you made your home,

At the very roots of her life!

How could you forget and move on?

Within her eyes you are always there.

I have seen you sitting on the rocky shore,

Sharing the beautiful moments of togetherness,
When her soft bare back of the neck,

Was touched by your lips!
Can anyone forget those wonderful moments?

You are always in my prayers,

The wet flowing hair and the waterdrops dripping down,

She is dreaming and always with a lost look!

Do remember,my friend,

On the high flood of memory,

She wants to let you know,

Your name will be always on the top!

''Hurting someone

Is as easy as cutting a tree.

But making someone happy,

Is like growing a tree.

It takes a lot of time,

So,never hurt anyone.''

''If I were a tear in your eye,
I would roll down into your lips.

But if you were a tear in my eyes,

I would be afraid to lose you!''

Friends,

''Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass.''
Let us accept the challenges of life.

It's Anu signing off.

Tomorrow night,Sonali will be once again with me and now I have to find out better and convincing ways to tell her, life is still beautiful.

Emotional attachments should not become heavy baggages that we can't carry. Why love can't give only happiness, peace and cheer?I just can't understand. The misunderstandings, waiting, arguements make the love lose its charm!
Friends,tomorrow.27th,March from 8.30 -9.30 p.m please switch off all the lights.Guys,it's EARTH HOUR!This is conducted on behalf of World Wide Fund For Nature in six thousand cities.Hundred crores of people will cooperate. Please, you too.....................

Wishing you an unconditional relation in life,

Reminding you Anu loves all of you,

Wishing you a wonderful Earth Hour in the candle light,

Sasneham

KOTTANKULANGARA CHAMAYA VILAKKU

RITUALS ARE DIFFERENT..............

24th,Wednesday,2010

6p.m

Dear Friends,
Good Evening!
HAPPY SREE RAMA NAVAMI TO ONE AND ALL!

This is the season of temple festivals in Kerala.People those who stay far away from hometown adjust their leave in such a away that they can join these festivals of their village temples. It's totally a different experience, getting a chance to pray during the annual festival time, when the temple is decorated and at the auspicious moments, getting a chance to meet the long lost friends. And a chance to witness the celbrations in a wide scale, the orchestra, dance programmes, kathaprasangam[story with recitation]and the amazing fireworks.

Kottankulangara chamayavilakku is a unique festival, which is held at the Kottankulangara Sreedevi Temple,Chavara,Kollam,Kerala. The presiding deity is Bhagavathy and is Swayambhoo[self-origin] and faces east. There is no roof for the Sanctum Sanctorum.Three poojas are offered and thanthric rites are administering the Adimattam.Sub-deities are Sasthavu,Yakshi and Nagarajavu. From Meenam1st to 11th the temple festival is celebrated. The uniqueness of this temple is that the boys and gents derss themselves as girls and ladies to hold the traditional temple lamp.

Can you believe, thousands of gents[from boys to older people] dress up as beautiful females. This is an offereing to the Goddess.I must say, they look awesome!
In this unique ritual,Chamayavilaku[make-up lamp] the damsels come to the temple at night in a long procession holding the lighted lamps in their hands. The ritual occurs during March-April,every year.
Applying kaajal[that we apply in the eyes],putting a striking bindi on the forehead, jasmine strands on the long hair, wearing sarees, traditional Kerala Mundum veshti, salwar kameez or skirt and blouse, the gents look enchanting.:)

Parents accompany their sons, wives their husbands and a group of friends to dress up their friends as the best female.Fulfilling the temple tradition, they will be holding the lamps, mounted on along wooden rod with five lighted wicks.Men do this offering for their dreams to come true and for expressing gratitude for the blessings received.Devotees want to wash away their sins at the sacred presence of the Goddess.
There are many stories about the origin of the festival, but the most popular one says,a group of boys who used to herd cows would playfully dress up as girls andoffer flowers and a coconut dish called,'kootan' to a stone. The story continues that Goddess appeared one day before one of the boys.Subsequently a temple came up and the ritual of men dressing up as women to offer prayers to teh Goddess got underway.Kottnkulangara Sree Devi temple is thrteen kilometres away from Kollam.
The gents who want to dress up as females must observe certain rituals. They begin the rituals by the end of the previous month,Kumbham. One can get this long lamp on rent from the nearby shops. The hotels will be fully booked. The temple premises and houses will become the greenrooms.Professionals are available to change you into a beautiful damsel within no time.Photographers are ready. The photos give sweet memories.

There will be cultural programmes for eighteen days.During these days, the stage will be built under the huge banyan tree.Only devotional musical programmes will be presented. The villagers and devotees offer the vegetables and fruits to the Goddess. This ritual is known as Anpolippara.By 2a.m,gents dresse as damsels will stand in two lines for the procession holding the lighted lamps.
In the beginning boys under fifteen years used to dress up as girls. But today irrespective of age gents come forward for this unique offering. This year this festival is celebrated on 24th and 25th March for two days.
Those who have come once will come again for teh forthcoming festival. That is the strong belief of the devotee in the Goddess.
May Goddess Bless One And All!
Friends, let us know the different festivals, rituals and traditions of our own native place.Festivals are occasions of arousing devotion, unity and communal harmony. This is the happy occasion of family get togethers.Filling our minds with positive energy, let us surrender ousrelves at the lotus feet of the Goddess.

It's Anu signing off................

SREE RAMA NAVAMI!!!

OM SREE RAMA JAYAM!

23rd,March,2010

Tuesday

7p.m

Dear Friends,
Rama Rama Jaya Raja Ram,
Rama Rama Jaya Sita Ram!
The birth of Lord Sree Rama is celebrated as Sree Rama Navami,on 24th,March,Wednesday.The ninth day of Chaitra month celebrates Sree Rama Navami, the last day day of Vasantha Navaratri.Lord Rama is considered as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who is known for his compassion for human beings.Sree Rama is born to King Dasaratha and Queen Kausalya of Ayodhya. The festival falls in the Shukla Paksha on the Navami, ninth day of the Chaitra month of Hindu Calendar. Thus it is also known as Chiatra Shukla Paksha Navami and marks the end of nine-day Chiatra Navratri celebartions.

At some places, the festival lasts the whole nine days of N avratras, thus the period is called,'Sree Rama Navaratra'.It is marked by continuous recitals,Akhand Paath, mostly of the Ramacharitamanas, organised several days before to culminate on this day, with elaborate bhajan, keertan and distribution of prasad after pooja and aarti.Images of infant Lord Sree Rama are placed in cradles and rocked by the devotees.Sree Rama is teh seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu.Sree Rama was born at noon.Temples and family shrines are well decorated and traditional prayers are chanted by teh family members together in the morning.Special havans are organised in temples along with Vedic chanting of Vedic Mantras and offerings of fruits and flowers. Many followers mark this day by vrata[fasting] through the day followed by the feasting in the evening. In South India, the day is also celebrated as the wedding anniversary of Sree Rama and Sita Devi.SitaRama Kalyanam, the ceremonial wedding ceremony of the celestial couple is celebrated in temples throughout the region with great fanfare and accompanied by group chanting of name of Lord Sree Rama[Rama Nama Smaranam].

The important celebrations on this day take place at Ayodhya[Uttar Pradesh],Bhadrachalam[Andhra Pradesh] and Rameswaram[Chennai],thronged by thousands of devotees.Rathayatra, the chariot processions, also known as Sobha Yatras of Sree Rama,Sita,Lakshmana and Hanuman will be taken out at several places including thousands of people take a dip in the sacred river Sarayu.
Right from childhood,I used to listen to the stories of Ramayana, the great epic of Hindus. I am sure, you all will be fondly remember the much popular television serial Ramayana which made people glued to the screen so religiously. It narrated the story of Sree Rama, his consort SIta,his strong and sincere devotee Hanuman and his loyal brother Lakshman.Sree Rama played all his roles-that of a son,a student,a desciple,a husband,a brother to utmost perfection.Praying to Lord Sree Rama invokes the divine energies to all our relationships.Devotees celebrate this festival with great pleasure and enthusiasm. We always used to enjoy the comic books on Sree Rama.
'Ra-ma' is an unparallel name which attracts wealth and protects us from all evils.Even the mighty Lord Shiva told his consort,Parvati taht the easiest way to attain the highest in spiritua;l and material is by praying to Lord Sree Rama and chanting his name.Lord Shiva went to the extent of saying that this is equivalent to even chanting the sacred Vishnu Sahasranama.Rama is referred to as Maryada Purushotama,The Perfect Man or Lord Of Self Control or Lord Of Virtue.Rama is the huband of Sita, whom Hindus consider to be an avatar of Lakshmi and the embodiment of complete womanhood.Rama's younger brothers namely Lakshma,Shatrughna and Bharata strongly complement his piety, virtue and strength.According to legend,Kusha and Lava are the twin sons of Lord Rama and Sita.

People prepare a sweet drink called panakam with jaggery and pepper.procession takes place in the eveings. This is an auspicious day!My friend Asha is fasting for nine days;having fruits and sabudana[sago].
We have a Sree Rama Temple near Sree Ayyappa Temple and the temples are located near my office.Generally we used to get a holiday on Sree Rama Navami. The temple will be crowded and the chanting of Rama,Rama......will be going on..........Remember the most important muhurt is at noon by 12.30.Sree Rama Swami is born on Punartham star.Nanda's star is also punartham.

May Lord Sree Rama Bless one and all.
During summer vacation,my parents used to take us on pilgrimage. to different temples.I enjoy those memories.Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple is very famous.Amma has written devotional poems on Lord Sree Rama and we chant them.
Wishing you all the very best,
It's Anu signing off......
Sree Rama's life and journey is one of the perfect adherence to dharma despite harsh tests of life and time.
Let me remind you, surrender at the lotus feet.Nothing else helps us to regain peace and happiness.
Wishing you a wonderful and auspicious SREE RAMA NAVAMI,
Loving you sincerely as always,
Sasneham,
Anu

TO MY BELOVED SPARROWS..............

ON THE WORLD HOUSE SPARROW DAY.....
20th,Saturday,2010

6p.m

Dear Friends,

Good Evening!

I love Saturday evenings and Sunday awaits with a bright and beautiful morning! The only holiday I enjoy other than second saturday.Last week was too hectic as the workload was too much.Right now feeling light and better as the work is almost done.

As my days begin with the chirping of sparrows that stay in my window panes and balcony corners, they make a major part of my life.Their cheep-cheep wake me up.Working in the kitchen is exciting only because of these cute little birds.I talk and they respond.Watching the sparrows is fun. They love pecking the grains/cerelas from the roof top.I feed them twice. They are often hungry and unless I feed them, they chirp loudly. The crows and pigeons too join them.Sparrows are many. They sit on the cable wire and swing.Whatever I share with them will never pass on!:)And I do have the relief that they know my untold life experiences. What a relief!

We see the sparrows often in crowded places. They love human company.Birds, animals and flowers are our best friends. They are forever,no separations, good byes or impatiently waitings. It is really sad that sparrows are disappearing from many places. To create awareness, a few NGOs have teamed up to mark the first World House Sparrows Day,today.Let's do our share for getting sparrows back into our lives.
Friends,

Sparrows are the lovely creations of God.

The cute small and chirpy birds,

Win our hearts and be our friends.

They are drab brown or grey creatures.

In Hindi speaking areas,

Sparrows are called as goraiya

They are known as 'kuruvi' in Tamil and Malayalam.

It is known as'pichhuka' in Telugu,

And in Kannada,'gubbachchi'.

The Gujaratis call it,'chakli',

Whereas the maharashtrians call it,'Chimani'.

It is known as 'chiri'in Punjab,

And 'gharachatia' in Orissa.

If you have a little space, make a small garden.

Pots with straw can be hung as nesting sites.

Let's say no to pesticides in our homes,

Learn to live eco friendly.

Please sprinkle some grains or bread crumbs,

In the courtyard or balcony or roof top,

Set up a bowl of water, they love water.

Search for the roosting spots and

Take out your binoculars and watch them close,

It's really amazing to watch the chicks,

The feeding of baby sparrows arouse interest.

The upbringing is done by both male and female birds,

And this is a special feature of sparrows.

Earthen pots can be put in open spaces

Inviting sparrows to come and stay.

Plan an outing and do watch the birds!

Sparrows love safer places to build nests.

They are our feathered neighbours,

See that they never leave us and go.

In the old markets sparrows were many,

Pecking on the grains and food waste.

Urbanisation has done away with home gardens;

Which had worms and insects for the sparrows.

The tribals like sauras and Warli have incorporated

These small cute birds in their paintings!

Famous poems are written by poets like,

Subramanya Bharati in Tamil.

The popular novel,Goraiya in Hindi,

Written by Smt.Mahadevi Verma,

Makes one wish that sparrows should

Be back to us to enrich our urban lives.

Friends,please start loving,

The little cute birdies!:)

Sparrows have been enlisted in the most endangered species of birds. The celebration of the day is not for just one day,but it is to develop awareness and to bring the like minded people in a common platform. The most recent reason for the disappearance is the mobile phone towers. The waves from the tower are capable of destroying the life in the eggs.Thereby they are incapable of hatching.

Friends,

In last June when I came back after the summer holidays,I felt so lonely as none of the sparrows were in the nests on the kitchen window pane.I felt miserable and wrote a post Where Have You Gone?Later, they did come back bringing back the sounds and laughter in my face.

This is the second post I am dedicating to my feathered neighbours.

Tomorrow 21st,Sunday is Anya,my friend's Brthday. All the Best Wishes, dear!May God Bless you! Many Many Hapy Returns Of The Day!

22nd,March is my Kishen's Happy Birthday!Wishing You A Wonderful Day and A Big God Bless You!Many ManyHappy Returns Of The Day!I Love You Dearest!May Your Dreams Come True!

It's Anu signing off........

Before going to sleep,I just want to make sure my sparrows have a goodnight's sleep,

I want to tell them how much I love them,

I want to make them feel,my days are brighter due to their presence.:)

Wishing you all a beautiful and relaxing Sunday,

Requesting you to love all animals and birds,

Reminding you not to ask personal questions, please

Anu loves you so dearly ,

Sound sleep and sweet dreams!

Sasneham,

Anu

EVERY MOMENT IS A GIFT FROM GOD!

18th,March,2010

Thursday

9p.m

Dear Friends,
Good Evening!

It's a pleasant and cool night. The sea is beautiful with the reflections of bright lights from the ships. It's so nice to watch the waves,so calm and refreshing.I do set aside a few moments daily to fill my mind with calm, peace and love appreciating the vast sea and the hills by the side.
Thank you very much, friends for your response and reactions to the previous post.Getting tagged is revealing a lot of own personality which is so difficult.

Today my friend's son Pranav was with me.He is a chatter box, smart and cute.Just give him your attention and you don't know how time flies.Out of the blues,he told,''Aunty, your ear rings look so nice!''I was surprised and started laughing so loudly. An eight year old boy appreciating the ear rings! It was a hanging one with white and brown stones, an imported one.Amma always likes me wearing hanging earrings which I hardly do.Then Pranav became very serious and started telling me,

''There is a house vacant near my house. Please come and stay there''.So lovingly, noone has invited me to be his neighbour.:)I enjoyed those moments of simple and sincere feelings.Still,I am cherishing the time spent with him.He doesn't realise I turn deaf to his cricket commentary which I can't stand! He keeps on babbling and I get back to work giving a signal to him to leave me.
In the present day life when we frantically run around getting everything organised,we forget to live our lives. We spend our days being anxious and stressed.

Today I want to share a few quotes on friendship with you.I have friends from small kids to older people.I believe in true friendship.Trust and understanding keep the friendship moving.

''If friends were flowers I would not pick you!

I'll let you grow in the garden and cultivate you,

With love and care.
I can keep you as a friend for ever!''

''To live a life I need a heartbeat,

To have a heartbeat I need a heart,
To have happiness I need a friend;
And for a friend I need you.Always.''
''God picked up a flower,
And dipped it in dew,

Lovingly touched it

Which turned into you.

And then he gifted it to me

And said; This friend is for you!''

My favourite quote is the one given below.

''God is so wise that,
With price tags
Because if he did,
I can't afford a precious,
Friend like you!'

We are fortunate enough to meet someone in our life, who influences us and changes our attitude!Someone cheers us with simple jokes and helps us to be in the track of high spirits.Let us be grateful for our blessings;but have you ever thought how blessed you are!Start counting now.
Let us forgive those who have hurt and angered us.Let go of the past.I did that and do feel much better now.
Love works the magic. But say that to the cncerned people.
I must tell you,our life becomes more meaningful, stress free and happier.Enjoy the moments of relaxation. You will have more energy to do more things.

Wishing you the capacity to face the unexpected with ease,

It's Anu signing off.............
''Remember life's simple little gifts are the ones that help all make us feel a little better, when we share the simple little things.''
The dedication is a beautiful melody to Amma as Amma is the first and best friend.:)

And now I hope the words reached you, even though I whispered.
Who doesn't need care and love? Thanks a lot for your friendship and you must know,
''A friend in need is a friend indeed.''
Wishing you a beautiful cool night,
Reminding you,Anu loves you dilse,
Sasneham,
Anu
